Photojournalism and Art Classes attended a field trip to the Dallas Zoo on Oct. 21.
“I went for my photography class to take photos of animals that were difficult to shoot,” sophomore Yasmina Baddou said. “It was really cool to be able to see all of the animals.”
Unlike last year, the group traveled to the Dallas Zoo.
“Seeing the gorillas was the best part because it actually looked like they were thinking,” senior Kaylon Wilkerson said. “I loved learning about the animals throughout the exhibit.”
Art students took 36 photos and made 12 gesture drawings.
“This field trip went well, I took 40 pictures and four pages of sketches” junior Adan Mendoza said. “I enjoyed seeing the variety of animals.“
The annual field trip happens every October.
“I went with Ms. (Kim) Moreno’s class,” sophomore Randy Hernandez said. “The photos turned out great, but the sketches could have turned out better.”
Students explored at their own pace.
“It was a great day,” senior Kaylon Wilkerson said. “I got to hang out with different students and learn to use a camera better.”
