Seniors are now one step closer to graduation after attending prom last Saturday, April 4 at the House of Blues in Dallas.
“My prom experience was unforgettable,” senior Jimena Vento said. “I didn’t have very high expectations but this year’s prom was over the top.”
The theme was “A Night In The Bayou” inspired by the Disney movie The Princess and the Frog.
“The idea was really cute and unique,” senior Helen Serrano said. “I liked that I wore a green dress with sparkles to coordinate with the theme.”
Many students had previously been to concerts at the venue.
“The setting was very fancy and had plenty of space,” Mafinuyomi said. “There were a lot of places to take nice pictures at.”
Throughout the night, students captured many memories by dancing with friends and eating the food provided.
“The venue was nicely set up and interactive, which added to the experience because we had more things to do like a photo booth, the dancing area and the food,” Vento said. “I enjoyed everything like the delicious food and especially the music.”
The graduating class got to vote on many awards like Best Dressed, Most School Spirit and Best Smile.
“Winning the Best Dressed Award was the highlight of my night,” Mafinuyomi said. “The awards made prom even more memorable.”
