The Go Center t-shirts, which are $10, will help raise money for scholarships.

In an effort to raise scholarship funds for eligible seniors, the College and Career Go Center is selling t-shirts for $10, which promote attending college.

“I want every student who wants to go to college to be able to go college,” Principal Derrell Douglas said. “College is very expensive. I don’t want that to be the reason someone doesn’t go to college.”

The Send A Wolf to College program was started by University of Texas at Arlington Mentor Wendy Cardozo who said she wanted the seniors to have something rewarding.

“This is the first Go Center scholarship,” she said. “We’re dependent on the amount of shirts sold.”

Interested students need to stop by the Go Center for more details on the requirements.

“This is the first year we have done this,” Cardozo said.

The shirts are currently being sold to students and staff members.

“I would like to see the shirts all over the school and students promote going to college,” Douglas said. “I bought a shirt because this is a great program. I hope that it’s very successful and becomes bigger.”
