“REST IN BASS: ENCORE” is a Deluxe version of Che’s studio album, “REST IN BASS,” which was released on July 18, 2025. It was released on Dec. 25, 2025 and first hinted toward him dropping the Deluxe on Christmas based on his Instagram saying “****** IM STEALIN XMAS”. The amount of streams he had on the first day of the newest release was 3.6 million, while also peaking as #7 on Apple Music album charts. When “REST IN BASS” was released, it only had 3.04 million streams. This album divided the community that Che has as people either love this album or hate it, and there’s no in between.
Che first started the rollout for this album when rumors of a newer version of “REST IN BASS” were released after a snippet came out on “X” on Sept 4, 2025. The community named this snippet “PASS OUT” but, unfortunately, it never made it onto the deluxe which deeply saddened the community. However, one song that was first released as a snippet came out and made it onto the Deluxe was “DIRTY SPRITE,” which is personally one of my favorites and “WHIPPIN” with Osamason. Other than that, this album had very few issues in the process of its release. It had a very smooth process of coming out and close to no major leaks.
This album overall does change how Che is perceived as an artist since it’s not the usual rage he has gone for in the past. This rage is more exotic and angry, and you can feel the emotion behind the production of this album as well as the lyrics. Songs like “UAV” and “DIRTY SPRITE” are here to show you how Che as an artist evolved from his earliest album “closed captions” to what we have now. Even his more melodic sound also makes you see that no matter the era, Che can still show off his skill in incorporating this rage sound as well.
There hasn’t been news released alluding to anything more with this era of Che’s music but there have been rumors about a second leg of the tour that he confirmed but we’ll never know until it’s officially announced with dates. The only confirmed time he will be performing is at Rolling Loud in Florida on May 10, 2026, and it’s definitely going to be a date to remember.
