In an effort to raise money for HOG Week, each class competed in Powder Puff last Monday.

“(It was a) very exciting football (game with) athletic young women playing,” Coach Keith Howell said.

There was 30 seconds left on the clock before the seniors scored, tying the juniors 21-21.

“Even though we (are) going against other classes we’re still raising money,” senior Jessica Price said. “(We kept) our focus on Bella and made sure (to) work as a team.”

The seniors made the final touchdown, winning the game.

“It feels great that we can have fun competing against each other while we’re raising money for a good cause,” senior Christin Spears said. “We’re really competitive, (but) the fact that it goes towards a little girl who gets to go to Disney World as her dream is a great feeling.”

Senior Alex Hernandez said that participating was worth the cause.

She said, “either way, win or lose, you’re still doing something good for someone.”
