With a score of 38-24, the Varsity football team won their game against Seguin H.S. at C.H.Wilemon Field, in Arlington last Thursday.
“The game went well,” senior Isaiah Chisholn said. “We fought through even though there was a lot going on because it was a big rivalry.”
Varsity is 3-3 in the 5A-2 Texas division.
“The interception that the defense got was the key play,” senior Sean Larry said. “It sealed the game.”
Despite the previous losses, the team won their second game in a row.
“We had to come together and work harder,” Coach Guy Humes said. “We came out and proved we are a good team.”
The next home game is Friday, against Summit H.S., at 7 p.m.
“Next game is going to be even better,” Chisholn said. “We’re going to try and limit the mistakes and penalties.”
