Holiday Travel Necessities

Hana Ali, Staff Writer

As the holidays approach, traveling to see your loved ones can be a pain but you can always bring things along to make you happy. These travel essentials will get you on the road or in the air with your sanity and comfort.

Fuzzy socks
With the weather getting colder and colder, fuzzy socks are a must. One of the best parts about these comfy socks is that they can be found at almost all stores for around $3. Pack several pairs of cozy socks to keep your feet warm on a plane, the snow or simply in bed.

Snacks
Let’s face it, the only thing you truly gripe about while traveling is your hunger. To fill your empty stomach, bring simple snacks that won’t make a big mess. Snacks that come pre-packaged and don’t spill are your best bet. When you stop at gas stations to fill up the tank, run in and get your favorites.

Cozy blankets
To snuggle up any and everywhere, bring a blanket with you. You probably have a favorite one at home already, but the bigger the size the more comfort you’ll feel.

Earplugs and Eye Mask
It’s practically impossible to get any sleep on a road trip or a plane so to ensure your rest, bring earplugs or an eye mask to have a quick shuteye before your family-filled mayhem.

Headphones
If you don’t have access to earplugs, headphones are another great choice, they allow you a little bit of time to escape by watching a funny YouTube video or listening to some music.
