The JV Girls Track Team will compete at the District Meet this Wednesday and Thursday at Lancaster High School.

“I’m so proud of this group of girls,” Coach Cinda Baer said. “These freshmen and sophomores share a winning attitude and push to be the best.”

The team has won all seven meets they competed in.

“This has been one of our most successful seasons,” sophomore Cianna Brown said. “We have been practicing hard every single week as we try to increase the streak.”

The last day of practice will be on April 12.

“It’s kind of sad to see the season came to an end,’’ sophomore Angel Smith said. “We’ve gained a sisterhood on the team and I’m going to miss it.”

The JV Girls 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 are among the top three district times.

“I’m really excited that the meet is this week,” Smith said. “We’ve worked so hard this year (by) putting in countless hours. If we can leave the meet with a triple crown then all of this will be worth it.”
