Batman v Superman Sets Up Future Sequels

The most anticipated film of the year, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was nothing short of spectacular. The film is very similar to the comic book “The Death of Superman.” The plot was full of lots of action, drama and huge surprises that will leave viewers shocked and glued to the screen for every moment.

In the beginning, a scene of destruction and chaos is rolling. It was a little unexpected for viewers because the movie started with such intense action but it foreshadows the depth of the battle looming in the future.

The movie shifts between Superman and Batman’s two lives. Clark Kent (Superman) works an undercover job at the Daily Planet and Bruce Wayne (Batman) is trying to find ways to destroy Superman. Throughout the film, the media is constantly portraying the two superheroes as villains and that they abide by no one’s rules except their own.

Both men embark on their own journeys that will eventually lead them to collide with their common enemy Lex Luther (Jesse Eisenberg) and their unexpected ally Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), who is undercover as Luther’s assistant.

Superman is forced to fight Batman because Luther has kidnapped his mother and the only way to save her is to bring him Batman’s head. This fighting scene really gets the audience hyped and is also my favorite because it’s like a David and Goliath type of battle.

The ending may surprise you but this is a very one-sided fight that results in one coming out as the victor. Ultimately, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman attempt to take down a supervillian who will test their skills individually and as a team.

This movie is a 9 out of 10 because the story did not get straight to the new plot line. They spent too much time reviewing the back stories of the characters. However, since they are trying to set-up a new line of films they had to update those who weren’t familiar with the characters. It also set-up a string of sequels, which could include The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg.
