In order to raise money for HOG Week, Cinderfella took place last Thursday.

“We get to pinpoint our juniors and seniors who will be leaving us soon,” judge Mary McMahan said. “It’s nice to see our guys stepping up and showing school spirit.”

Junior Thuc Vu said he was anxious about the annual event.

“At first I was very nervous but then I got in front of the crowd, and I remembered this is all for Bella,” he said. “Once I got in the spotlight, I felt really comfortable playing the piano, being interviewed by the judges and (I) honestly had a fun time.”

Junior Alex Torres won “Mr. Crowd Favorite” while senior Daniel Ramos, who was a part of Cinderfella last year, won “Mr. Congeniality.”

“It’s a different atmosphere with different people (because) a lot of the seniors from last year were gone, but everybody filled in certain positions,” Ramos said. “It was really fun and I would do it all over again.”

After earning the highest marks in the swimsuit, talent and interview portion of the night, senior Marc Johnson was crowned Mr. Cinderfella.

“I was not ready to win,” Johnson said. “I dreamt of this since freshman year but thought this could never happen to me and look where I am now.”
