With a score of 0-28, the Varsity football team lost against Denton Ryan HS at C.H. Collins Stadium, in Denton last Thursday night.
“We lost so we have to go back to the drawing board, to see the things that went well,” Coach Guy Humes said. “Then we focus on the things that we can correct.”
This was the second district game.
“We have to stay focused mentally because we got flags which caused them (the opponent) to go up the field,” junior Caden Bates said.
Varsity is 1-1.
“The fans will always be there so losing is not an excuse,” senior Sean Larry. “We just have to be ready for anything when we play away.”
The next home game is Friday, against Argyle HS at 7 p.m.
“We just have to go into the next game not thinking about last week,” Bates said. “We can’t have our mind focused on anything else except Argyle.”
