As a result of passing the unit inspection on Feb. 2, the AFJROTC unit will continue its residency at the school.

“He (the inspector) looked at the whole program,” Lieutenant Colonel Terry Webster said. “He checked our goals, inventory and made sure that the cadets were in regulation.”

Webster said the inspection was also a test of leadership.

“Cadets don’t prepare because this is how we should be,” he said. “We’re supposed to be an outstanding unit every day.”

In the months leading up to the inspection, the students practiced marching, proper uniform wear and drafted their unit goals.

“As a unit we did pretty good,” sophomore Randy Geyer said.

Sophomore Jordan Hoang said he knew the program would pass the inspection with flying colors.

“I always had the greatest expectations for our group,” he said.

ROTC will be rewarded with a pizza party.

“I was confident that we would do an excellent job on the inspection,” Hoang said.
