Holiday Door Decorating Brightens Hallways

In order to promote holiday cheer and create bonds between different organizations, doors and hallways are being decorating throughout the school for the first HoliDoors.

“Well as we all know, ‘the fastest way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loudly for all to hear,’” Varsity Cheer Coach Faith Elmore said. “Since we can’t sing all the time, we thought that decorating the halls would add some excitement and anticipation for Christmas.”

Elmore said students enjoy seeing the hallways decorated, but it’s not a competition.

“If it has morphed into a competition, it is only to be the best,” she said.

Any clubs, sports or groups that want join in on the festivities are welcome to start decorating before the deadline on Friday.

“After all the hard work we put into the Art Hallway, it really becomes worth it when we see everybody enjoy what we’ve contributed to,” junior Jeremiah Richard said.

Elmore is hoping this continues as a tradition.

“We would like to see more halls adopted next year by more groups,” she said. “We would love to see the HoliDoors grow into something that the students looks forward to every year.”
