After beating Oreos and mixing cream cheese, students in Restaurant Management completed their second food lab experiment last week.

“Other schools told me about it (Oreo Truffles) and it seemed like a fun lab that didn’t require any knowledge on measuring,” teacher Karyn Maddock said.

Students had two days to complete the lab.

“Crushing the Oreos was challenging because it took a lot of effort to crush them down to fine pieces,” sophomore Jonathan Garza said.

Maddock said her favorite part was seeing her students sample the food as they go.

“I love seeing their reactions,” she said. “I enjoy hearing their feedback.”

Garza said he would try to create this at home.

He said, “It was really easy and quick to make because it only took a few ingredients.”
