Five Nights at Freddy’s Game Combines Fun with Fear

Recently released horror app “Five Nights At Freddy’s” has been monopolizing technology screens. The game seems simple but is actually difficult to beat. Here’s the gist, you’re the new night guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and things aren’t exactly what they seem.

You have to survive five nights at Freddy’s from 12a.m.- 6a.m. while watching the four animatronics who just so happen to wander around. The manager will leave you a voice message each night letting you know what to expect. As the night progresses the battery of the electricity will run out. The less energy you use the more electricity you’ll save. The five nights each have specific difficulty levels.

Night one involves very little activity. All you really have to do is check the cameras every now and then. When one of animatronics, which will most likely be Bonnie the Bunny, appears by one of your doors you need to shut it as soon as you can. Foxy the Pirate is active too but rarely appears. The chicken is active also, but Bonnie is the main robot to look out for. Anyone can survive the first night.

Night two is somewhat similar, but there is more activity than before. Bonnie is active as well as Chica the Chicken. They’ll try to get you more frequently so it’s important to stay on your toes. You have to check the cameras many times because of the higher activity. Other than that just make sure you aren’t using up the battery and you’ll advance to night three.

Night three is much creepier. That’s when the paranoia kicks in. The animatronics’ heads start twitching, they move quicker and sometimes you can’t find them on the screens. You find yourself checking the cameras again and again. Not only do you have to worry about Bonnie and Chica, but this is the night Freddy is activated. Freddy is almost never seen but on rare occasions you’ll find him. Foxy will always start out in Pirate Cove. His signature move is sprinting down the west hallway and instantly attacking you in the office.

On night four, the difficulty level is very high. The voice message is the most memorable considering that you hear the guy get murdered by an animatronic character. There’s always something happening. The player has to be very cautious. The use of electricity becomes something you have to worry about even more. Foxy becomes more dangerous. When it comes to him, he doesn’t like being checked on too often or too little so it has to be somewhere in the middle, or else he’ll run down the hallway and come after you.
Night five can be described only with one word, crazy. As soon as the game starts, it’s crucial. The voice message is super creepy. It’s probably not even a human talking because the player won’t be able to understand it. The robots move right away forcing you to check the cameras constantly.

When you’re playing the fifth night the most important thing is to stay focused, any type of distraction will end badly. The animatronics will play no games. They aim to kill from the start. They’re moving all the time, running up and down the halls, making loud noises and showing up at your doors. The twitching becomes demonic-looking; it’s insane.

I don’t want to give away too much more about this game but I will say, other than being scary, it’s fun, addicting, entertaining and worth $3 in the AppStore.
