The old release game, Trigger Fist, lacks a storyline, but makes up for it in the enjoyment of the app and game itself.

Trigger Fist, a fast-paced third person shooter game developed by Lake Effects Studios, is a great buy in the App Store for anyone looking for a decent shoot em’ up experience. For a low price of $3, this is great for anyone who is a fan of action games.

Even though this is an old release, Trigger Fist is a very intriguing game. What it lacks in story, it makes up for in the enjoyment of the app itself. With four game modes by the names of Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Team Deathmatch and Sacred Goat, it hardly ever gets boring. Each game mode offers a different experience in play, as some go for a more tactical approach while others put you in Mano y Mano scenarios.

The style of progression in the game is much like any other shooting game on the market. As you play, you gain experience points, which help you to progress your character to where they can claim their next weapon. As you advance in rank, you also unlock abilities that give you certain edges in games that help you to survive longer than you normally would without them.

One major fault in the game is bound to make you angry multiple times. At random points in the game, you might reach a very high rank and decide to stop playing for a while. You come back, you find out that all of your progress has been reset, and I mean all of it. You’re back to level one, your abilities and guns are reset, any in-app purchases you have made will be revoked and you cannot redeem these items without buying them again.

Aside from a few huge developmental flaws in the game, Trigger Fist is a good way to pass time when there is nothing else to do. Just don’t get too attached, as there are major setbacks to deal with because of faulty coding placed in the game.
