The Varsity Boys Basketball Team defeated the Marshall Mavericks 80-57 advancing them to the Regional Quarterfinals.

“Were ready for this game,“ senior Colin Hadnot said. “Our team has been practicing hard for this moment.”

The boys are currently 2-0 in the playoffs going into their third game against another rank team.

“We’ve prepared mentally and physically by staying focused and listening to right voices,” junior Jarius Thomas said.

The next game will be today at Fairfield HS against the Lufkin Panthers, 30-4, at 6:30 p.m.

“I feel like this is our year, “ sophomore Isaac Likele said. “We just have to stay focused and work hard.”
