Softball Hosts Turkey Drive
In order to help those in need for Thanksgiving, the softball team is collecting turkeys.
“We are blessed with so many things, and it is nice to be able to help others especially during the holidays,” softball coach Donya Mooney said.
The team has collected over 300 turkeys in the past five years.
“I feel that it is important to give back to our community and to help instill this in our students,” she said.
Those who want to help can see Coach Mooney in Room 1101.
“I donated six turkeys,” softball player Mariah Denson said.
Last year, the group came in with 56 turkeys, which is about four turkeys away from their yearly goal.
“We have an awesome student body who is willing to help and give back to anyone in need,” Mooney said. “That is one of the amazing characteristics of Timberview.”
