PTSA Hosts Spring Fling Dance Tomorrow

In an effort to raise money for senior scholarships, the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is hosting a Spring Fling Dance, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m in the Commons on April 1.

“Since prom is for seniors and their dates only, this gives an opportunity for a school wide dance in the last few months,” PTSA President Melissa Jones said.

This is the second dance of the year.

“We sponsored the Homecoming Dance in October and because of the success PTSA thought that the Spring Fling might be fun and well received,” Jones said.

Since some tickets will be sold at the door, it is unknown how many students will attend.

“We hope (to) have support from students that (are) attending, and plan to have participating staff volunteers,” Jones said.

The cost is $5 presale and $15 at the door.

“PTSA pays for concessions, a DJ and a photo booth (all) upfront so if the dance has low attendance, we (lose) money,” Jones said. “We have high hopes that it will be a big hit because we have put a lot of time and money planning it.”
