Cinderfella Popular Event of HOG Week
In order to raise money for HOG week, Cinderfella will be hosted on Friday, April 11 in the Varsity Gym.
“I look forward to it each year since you get to see beautiful guys perform weird unique talents,” senior Joy Davis said.
Student Council has a tradition of waking up the contestants at 3 a.m., to announce that they were in the event.
“I was scared and startled when they came into my room since they flashed big bright lights in my face and yelled random things,” junior Alex Ruiz said. “When they said I was in it, I felt excited.”
Judge Chana Jayme, who also teaches art, offered tips for the contestants.
“I advise them to have confidence because it helps them from their interviews to the swimsuit categories,” she said. “It doesn’t matter if they are right or wrong as long as they have confidence, they will be okay.”
Davis said she is cheering for senior Nathaniel Roper.
“I really believe that Justice Njoku will win since he won last year, but I’m rooting for Nate because he has great potential,” she said.
The event should pull in more donations that will heavily contribute to the HOG Week goal, Jayme said.
She said, “I suspect that we will do well and a great deal of students will donate since it has gotten so popular over the past years.”
