Assistant Principal Wendell Joubert was officially hired as the new Facilities Associate Principal at the Tuesday, Feb. 25, School Board meeting.

“During his time at Timberview, he has proven to be effective at his job,” Principal Derrell Douglas said. “I’m excited about (his) promotion.”

The new position requires responsibility for all of the facilities, maintenance, safety and building components.

“I’m excited about the opportunity and to continue to serve for Timberview in a bigger leadership role,” Joubert said.

Douglas said Joubert has already started his position.

“The transition to his new role should be smooth because he already knows the kids, parents, staff, and campus,” Douglas said.

Joubert will work with those under his alphabet until the end of year.

“I will continue to serve the students and families in my alpha throughout the remainder of the school year,” Joubert said. “This will ensure continuity in relationships for everyone.”

He said he is very pleased about staying here.

“I am excited about the opportunity to serve the Timberview community in this new position,” Joubert said. “The new responsibilities afford me the chance to keep a warm environment for all individuals to come to every day.”
