During lunch in the library, senior Allie Parr contemplates what book she wants to check out.

Because of the large number of students coming to the campus library for study hours in the past year, the district has extend the school’s library hours.

“We got this honor because our library was one of the most used for the extended hours,” Librarian Jennifer Rike said.

The facility is now open Wednesday and Thursday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

“This is a great idea because not only can you use the extra hours if you don’t have the technology, (but) you can also get help from your teachers or librarians,” Paraprofessional Library Aide Steve Bunker said,

The extra time will allow some students to focus on their studies.

Sophomore Madison Ratliff said, “The extended hours are a good idea because you can use it for getting caught upon your work and get away from distractions.”
