ROTC Attends Fort Worth Air Show

In an effort to understand what the military has to offer, AFJROTC cadets attended the Fort Worth Air Show on Oct. 25.

“I was glad to attend this event,” sophomore Brianna Hopson said.

The air show was really cool, junior Lobis Dunford said.

“It made me think about joining the Air Force,” he said.

The air show displays what students could do in the military one day, Dunford said.

“Now I see why he (Colonel Terry Webster) gets on us about having all of our stuff in order and making sure we are perfect,” he said. “Their uniforms had no flaws in them; they were perfect and they looked clean.”

The main attraction of the show was the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

“The Thunderbirds were amazing; they are so precise,” Hopson said.

There were many more events for the guests.

“I heard most of the students talking about how cool the U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team (was),” Webster said.

The show’s finisher was the All-Veteran Parachute Team.

Dunford said, “Seeing the veterans parachute down shows that they still have it in their system.”
