Pop Singer Releases New Album After Hit Singles
With her hit singles “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Movin,” pop singer Meghan Trainor, 21, grabbed our attention. Now she’s releasing her album “Title.” The album was released on Jan. 9, and has already peaked on iTunes. Her record beat albums like “1989” by Taylor Swift and “Uptown Special” by Mark Ronson.
All of the songs stand out. Every title has a great beat with a catchy tune you will never want to get out of your head. Aside from the most popular tunes off the album, Trainor’s other songs like “Close Your Eyes,” “Title,” “Mr. Almost” and “My Selfish Heart” are unbelievable.
“Close Your Eyes” starts out very slowly and builds to a slightly faster chorus. There’s a nice-sounding guitar to go with a beautiful melody as the song starts out. It is about loving yourself and who you are. It explains the importance of self-acceptance, which is a terrific message.
“Title” is a cute, bubbly song. This track is about wanting your “bae” to make your relationship official. She’s trying the best she can to get out of the friend zone. This is his chance to give her a “title,” and he’s very close to missing it. This is a feel good song that’s great to play on repeat.
“Mr. Almost” is also one of the upbeat tracks with a lot of bass. This one tells the listener about how a guy in her life was close to being hers, but he messed up. He wasn’t what she thought he would be, and now she’s decided to cut ties with him.
“My Selfish Heart” starts out somewhat slow, then slows down even more and when it reaches the chorus it speeds up significantly. In this song, there is a bit of a story line. She wasn’t being good to her boyfriend and was selfish. She has made up her mind to let him go, so he can find someone better. Even though she wants to end things, she wants to keep in touch with him.
The whole album is such a great collection. Each song has a unique meaning. Though a lot of them sound the same, it’s a very small complaint of such an incredible record. Everyone needs to listen to this album because they will all be able to relate to the songs in someway.
