Panic! At The Disco tries a more synthetic pop in their new album.

Even though Panic! At The Disco’s fourth album, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!, was released two weeks ago, with a vibrant carefree sound, the CD has made it to the second spot on Billboard.

While this album has taken on a different direction than their previous three, with an energetic sound, the band is being brought back to their Las Vegas roots.

The first single “Miss Jackson,” gives fans a taste of their new sound. The single is as dark as the songs from previous albums, but this track emits an exciting sound leaving listeners hungry for more.

The album has multiple moods from celebrating the glitz and glamour of Vegas with the song “Vegas Lights” to experiencing being in love with “Collar Full.”

There is a much deeper meaning for Brendon Urie, lead singer and songwriter. He expresses that it’s okay to love who you want in the song “Girls/Girls/Boys.”

While Panic! has strayed away from their baroque-pop sound and digressed into synthetic pop, I haven’t been able to put my headphones down.
