Drake’s Latest Album More Personal

Drake's third album is more personal.

Drake’s third album is more personal.

Drake’s latest album, Nothing Was The Same, can be said to be his best one yet. The album is filled with slow and fast beats, which bring a new flavor to his sound, and make fans feel the music. In response, the much anticipated album even leaked a week before it hit stores.

The album has been on repeat from day one when I bought and I haven’t stopped playing it. You can tell Drake put his heart in it because most of his songs are about his past relationships.

Drake features some big names like 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Jay Z and more. Even though the collaborating artists are only featured on one song each. It was nice to hear new songs from these big names on one CD.

The first song is “Tuscan Leather” which is a freestyle song where Drake expresses his emotions in a serious way. The song is very powerful in the way the bass and chimes combine to set up the beat.

The song “All Me” features rappers 2 Chainz and Big Sean who add a unique vibe. The different sounds from the rappers all come together in a perfect mix. This title is about his rise to the top and how he feels he should get all the credit.

One of the titles that stood out the most is “Come Thru” which is a freestyle title where he is interacting with a girl throughout the song.

This album is different for Drake because it focuses more on R&B than rap. The songs he covers this album are not things he usually sings about. He reflects a lot on his experiences and life.

This is a definite for any Drake fan. Many of the songs are already in the top ten. Rumor has it, he has already started work on another album; let’s see if he can top this one. It will be hard to do.
