With a score of 42-27, the Varsity Football team won their away game against Everman last Friday night.
“We should’ve put more points on the board,” senior Davin Hill said. “I’m a little disappointed, but I’m happy about the win.”
Improving their overall record to 3-2, the team had a total of 395-yards this game.
“We got that many yards by executing every play, making sure everything was right,” junior Jacoby Easter said. “We did everything with precision.”
Despite only winning one out of their first three games, the team is now on a two-game winning streak.
“We are starting to play as a team throughout the whole game,” junior Geraci Martin said. “But we still have a lot of work to do.”
Easter said the team will continue to do well.
“I feel good about this season,” Easter said. “If we stay on a great path, keep practicing and keep our heads right, we are going to go further than ever.”
Pink-Out, the next home game, is tomorrow against Seguin at RL Anderson at 7 p.m.
“During our home games, we don’t have that many people come and support us,” Hill said. “This week is the Pink-Out game, so there should be a lot of people.”
