With a score of 45-3, the Varsity football team won their game against Molina at Kincaide Stadium last Thursday night.
“We prepared well and played pretty good, but I don’t think we played with enough energy,” junior Casen Cappelletti said. “We should’ve beat them by a lot more and it should’ve been much more of a blow out.”
Varsity is now 7-0. Molina only scored three points the entire game due to a field goal.
“Today was just something different and our team played hard,” senior Alex Moore said. “Our run game was pretty strong today along with the pass, and we got that win 45-3.”
There are only three district games left before the playoffs begin.
“The game was good but we could’ve done better,” junior Tyler Madison said. “We’ve just got to come out stronger and faster. We need to stop coming out flat and be ready two weeks from now against Richland.”
Their next game is the Pink Out game, this Thursday against Sunset, at Vernon Newsom Stadium at 7 p.m.
“We are about to kick some butt and it’s not even going to be a game,” Cappelletti said. “It’s going to be more like a practice, we’re just preparing for Richland.”
