Varsity Continues to Dominate

With a score of 63-6, the Varsity football team won against Turner at Tommy Standridge Stadium in Carrollton last Friday night. Turner only scored on their first drive.

“The game started off slow the way we played but after the first quarter we started to pick up,”  senior Jamiez Eichelberger said. “Skill-wise, everyone scored.”

Varsity is 4-0

“For the rest of our district games we expect blowouts because our previous competition from past years was more challenging,” Eichelberger said.

The team is in a new district.

“We absolutely thought we were going to do well because most of the Dallas schools aren’t that good,” Coach Guy Humes said.

Homecoming, the next game, is this Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

“It’s crazy that we haven’t played at Newsom yet because it’s our home field,” Eichelberger said. “So, I’m looking forward to playing there because it’s the best quality stadium.”
