*After last month’s Rules of Texting, Alex Roman now addresses those guidelines girls should take into consideration.

When it comes to texting our crushes, we often seem to expect too much of just one side. However, we aren’t living in the stone age ladies, and even then, I’m sure a girl occasionally offered to start the fire.

When it comes to us girls getting to know our crush, we can often take the simple task of hitting “send” and somehow turn it into something as complicated as the derivative of x divided by three squared. Time to stop trying to control our chemistry and let nature take that course.

Let’s address the most common and easiest thing to over think, texting. Texting isn’t dating, it’s texting. Take your time to get to know your guy. Spilling every detail of your life won’t get you too far. Resist the urge to text your crush all day and night.

A common downfall, can often be the simplest. You have to sound confident and grammar-conscious. Believe it or not, guys like to understand what you’re saying! Skip out on some of the “LOL” and you won’t be getting a “TTYL”.

And what I consider most important, make sure some of your glorious personality shines through. After all, you’re not conducting a science experiment. Let him know he’s not texting a rock.

And finally, once you have the confidence to bring up the mall or even that movie you’ve been wanting to see, he should show up. Then you know you have hit the jackpot ladies.
