“Jump Out” , made by Osamason, is his third studio album after Flex Musix (2023) and Osama Season (2023). Osamason has been creating a mass following throughout his entire career, starting just as a SoundCloud rapper and then becoming who he is today. He struggled a lot with hackers and leakers trying to release his music which ended up causing many different delays for “Jump Out.”
While on a live stream with BruceDropEmOff, Osamason and Bruce both witnessed a song get leaked and within the following weeks, another 400 of his songs were leaked causing delays for the album. His project “Jump Out” would cut the release short because titles in the project would get leaked such as the songs “Ref”, “Southside” (previously referred to as “C Note”), “Mufasa” and many more. But despite all the leaks messing up the release date of the album, it sold 9,000 copies the first week and placed #151 on Billboard 200. The producer OK (William Dale Minnix III), who executively produced the album, appeared in Osamasons past projects such as “Pop” that’s on Flex Musix, and “Lambtruck” that’s on Osama Season.
Many different people compared “Jump Out” to “Die Lit” by Playboi Carti but I believe that it’s all just inspiration and not a straight copy and paste. When Osamason’s album was first released, it was exciting to just click the first song “Southside.” It was a great way to start off the album, with an upbeat sound and flow. The following title “Fool” was very memorable with just a hard start to it instantly getting into the heat of the moment. The song “GTFO The Room” follows the same pattern. Listening to “Made Sum Plans” really does make me feel like I should pour out my love to someone, but the song “Frontin” makes me feel I should just leave it all alone and focus on myself, my future and my career.
Having his song “Room 156” first hit my ears was an experience I could have with no other album, just that song alone made me think that this was one of the best albums in the underground. Throughout the song “Waffle House” Osamason talks about “Hold up, give me an inch, I run a mile, uh (oh wow)” and I relate to this since no matter what anyone says, I’m not going to let someone’s words stop me from being the best I can. There wasn’t a better way he could have ended the album with a 10/10 song like “Round Of Applause.” The production of this song was amazing and something you couldn’t get from any amateur artist.
Throughout the time of this project, from when it first got announced to when he actually dropped it, I was worried due to all the leaks and hate people have toward him. But then when he dropped the album, it made up for it completely. Many people didn’t like it at first because the producer OK executively produced it in a similar way to how he did with Nettspend’s latest album, “BAFK.” Most fans didn’t want Osamason’s to have the same sound. But both of the albums have completely different vibes and don’t relate much, besides the fact they both have the same executive producer.
The Jump Out tour was recently announced, and fans are super hyped for his concert that’s starting March 31. I’ve already purchased tickets to see him in Dallas on May 5. Overall, this album was the most anticipated album I’ve been waiting for and I’m grateful Osamason still decided to drop it instead of not releasing it at all or pushing back the release date. The album is incredible. Osamason definitely deserves all the up-and-coming love from fans and is probably the most genuine rapper out right now. If you haven’t got the chance to listen to him. This is one of his better albums to get into, but then follow it up by listening to Flex Musix and Osama Season.
