Godzilla Spin-Off Draws Audiences In

Hollywood reboot film, Godzilla, grossed $93.2 million in its opening weekend.

The latest Godzilla movie, co-produced by Legendary Pictures and Warner Brothers, is an American-made film, which features the Japanese film monster of the same name, in its spin-off of the original Japanese film franchise. The Hollywood reboot of the film, directed by Gareth Edwards, grossed $93.2 million in its opening weekend.

Although the film was really interesting, it does start off a little cheesy. I think the film companies purposefully did this because they wanted to try to stay as true to the origins of the Godzilla tale. However, despite the beginning of the movie, the film companies did a great job of adding details that made the story of Godzilla even more interesting to watch. The added details, mixed with the fantastic special effects, are what really bring the movie to life.

Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who works with his father to uncover the truth about the cause of his mother’s death. The plot is engaging but predictable to those who are familiar with the background of the monster. The only other problem was there were some parts in the film that were too unrealistic. But if you’re like me, you’ll probably laugh at the fact that there were soldiers hopelessly shooting at monsters because they have nothing left to do.

This film is not suitable for younger children due to some intense situations. I can recall a few instances when I felt my heart jump, but I wouldn’t consider the movie to be terrifying. This is actually a good thing because the movie provides just enough scary moments to keep the audience interested in what’s going on.

Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures were very successful in adding additional monsters that weren’t included in the previous Godzilla movies. These monsters serve as Hollywood’s twist because they’re what makes the movie so different from its predecessors. These new monsters will also draw in fellow sci-fi nerds because they are given a special ability that should make viewers think about just how much we really depend on modern-day technology. They also bring in room for yet another Hollywood curveball because these monsters change the direction of the film. Because of this twist, audiences will notice that their opinions of Godzilla as a “monster” will change as the movie progresses.

All in all, watching Godzilla is a great way to spend two hours. Although it starts slow, audiences will find that they will not be able to take their eyes off the screen as the movie progresses due to the amazing special effects. People who just want to enjoy a good movie will like it because it provides just enough scary moments to allow even the average person to be entertained, which is what makes Godzilla a fun choice.
