Bzzy Body Aerobics Club a new club started and sponsored by Ms. Faith Collins a nutrition & wellness and interior design teacher and the JV cheer coach. The club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays after school in room 1305. The club consist of only girls from 9 through 12 grade, that could join the work out group. They watch a variety of different work out videos, from P90X to cardio.
“I created Bzzy Body because I wanted girls to be able to come work out for free and be around their friends,” Ms. Collins said. “They do better with positive influences around them.”
Ms. Collins geared the club’s activities more toward individual fitness as opposed to the team sport emphasis found in traditional PE classes. The group focuses on getting healthy, promotes a healthy body image, and building self confidence all while moving and grooving, the permission form stated. Ms. Collins wanted girls to have a free place to workout and have an positive environment around their peer and friends.
“Being with your friends while burning calories is really fun,” junior Jordyn Bowser said. “In a room of only girls and lots of laughs is ideal, when you’re trying to get your workout in.”

An awesome idea! I wish something like this had been around when I was an out-of-shape teen with poor nutritional influences.
