Assistant Principal Secretary, Cheryl McMillion, did not spend her day off with crying children and discipline tips given by, Jo Frost, Super Nanny. A nice relaxing day of observations made Cheryl smile as her children obeyed.

The McMillion family appeared on Super Nanny five years ago. Having never heard of the show, but with encouragement from her mother, Cheryl applied for the assistance of Jo Frost.

“I had never seen the show. My mom was like, ‘You need to apply for that.’ I have three very active ADHD kids. They are rowdy boys. They would fight, they were typical boys but it escalated. We spanked, grounded, and I yelled a lot,” Cheryl said.

In their sixth season Super Nanny, according to www.community.livejournal.com, ABC’s Supernanny saw improvement over last week when Supernanny averaged a 1.2 in television ratings. It improved to a rating of 1.6 with adults 18-49 from the first episode in the summer of 2004.

“Well I am not 18 but I like Supernanny and I do not remember the McMillion family but I think it is so cool that Ms.McMillion was on it and I am sure her kids are not as bad as some of the kids on the show. I am looking forward to the hundreth episode of this season I just love Jo Frost she knows how to work with children. If I have children and they are lacking discipline and Supernanny is still around that is who I am calling I think Ms. McMillion made a great decision,” freshman Kimberely Pimentel said.
Jo Frost decided to become a nanny after college. She has managed all manners of challenges from potty training and sibling rivalry to sleep problems and tantrums. According to freshman Andrelle Brown, Jo never fails.
“Wow I did not know that someone from this school has ever been on Super Nanny, I love that show. Ms. McMillion’s children are probably very behaved now I do not think Jo has ever failed. I hope her family the best and I am waiting for that show I would love to meet her children just to see how their behavior is,” Andrelle said.
The McMillion family got chosen to do the hundredth episode which will air on Friday March 12; on ABC at 8 pm. Cheryl liked the experience and said her kids have matured.
“It was great I really enjoyed it, I was really nervous but all the crew and producers were nice and they make you feel comfortable. We did the follow-up which will air Feb or March. She [Jo] talked to us to see if there were any issues,” Cheryl said, “As far as her coming back I don’t think that will happen we probably will see her again but not for a show. Life is a lot better we all still have improvements to make it’s still all a struggle, we’re all learning and we have to work as a family.

My sister was very brave to ask for help and be on national tv. I believe that her family was impacted by Jo and the Super Nanny crew. I love you guys.
