Varsity Volleyball Loses Against Lake Ridge

With scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-14, the Varsity Volleyball team lost to the Lake Ridge Eagles in three sets last Friday.

“Our communication was off and our block was late,” senior Alexia Henson said. “We have to keep our energy consistent throughout the entire game.”

By the end of the second set, senior Amari Mitchell said the team was frustrated but focused and determined to finish out the game despite numerous errors.

“Even though we were losing, we had to come together as a team and do our best to adjust to different situations,” she said.

The next game will be at home tomorrow at 6:30 p.m., against the Summit Jaguars, in the Varsity Gym.

“We need to compete harder and play to the best of our abilities,” junior Kailyn Williams said. “We are better than (how) we played, so when we all work together we’ll do well.”
