The booster club president Cindy Gamez presented a trailer and a truck to the band and other band parents on Fri. Aug. 20. Pier 1 Imports donated the trailer, Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. donated the truck, Maaco Collision & Auto Painting did the paint job, Graph-Tech Auto Graphics donated half the cost of the decals, and Home Depot donated Vouchers for customizing the inside of the trailer. They held the dedication ceremony to let all the parents see the trailer. The parents met in the PAC for a booster meeting then went out to the back parking lot. As they arrived on the practice field, the truck drove up the parents and students took time to view the truck and trailer. The band performed and Smashburger donated dinner. It took almost a year to get the truck and trailer ready for this day.
“The Timberview Band wanted to share the joy and excitement of the progress made on the truck and trailer;” Gamez, said. “The best way to spread the great news was to incorporate the unveiling of the truck and trailer at our annual mandatory parent meeting and invite all our sponsors, faculty, staff, parents, students, friends and relatives to partake in this special occasion.”
