A Nguyen win situation

Politics have many dishonest incidents such as bribes, false rumors, and strong enmity between rivals. High school elections may not have such a serious effect on our country as elections for future president of America, but it does look good on your college application if you win and do a good job.
In the first six weeks of school freshman Stacey Nguyen ran against, her only competitor, Katherine Do, and won in the election for freshman class president.
“Well, I basically talked to everyone. I mean if you were a freshman, then I talked to you. People think that if you appeal to the popular kids you’ll win, but that’s totally not true, because the majority of the class isn’t popular,” Stacey said.
Stacey used tactics like hand-made posters and handing out buttons for people to wear on their shirts to help raise awareness of herself and her ideas. Stacey said she also tried to make her speech, given on the announcements, memorable so that her fellow peers could remember it when voting.
“Hecks yeah, I was the only 0one who put up posters. I made eight, and it was horrible. I was totally sick the day before campaign week, and was dying as I painted ‘Stick with Stacey’ a bazillion times,” Stacey said.
Ms. Mills did not say how much Stacey won by, but Stacey said it did not matter to her anyways. She only cared about winning and succeeding as a good president.
Winning was amazing. It was the funniest thing,” Stacey said. “I was walking down the hallway, and like, I saw my name on the paper and was screaming like a maniac.”
Stacey said she has plans to make life at school more fin and better for everyone. She doesn’t know exactly how, but she continues to work on her plans even though coming up with plans and doing jobs for Student Council take up a lot of her time. The freshmen class president has certain responsibilities to uphold, but they still have to help put with the thing s like selling Ramen in the commons during lunch.
“I don’t plan on changing any traditions at Timberview. Well, at least not by very much, because I really like the activities and stuff we do, but like, improving them and making them fun and different each year would makes things really cool,” Stacey said. “I plan on running for student council body president all four years, because that’s who I am. I love StuCo.”
